International Partnerships
NESRA connects Nepal’s emerging space ecosystem to the international space community through formal cooperation, joint programming, research exchange and a documented history of international engagement.

Formal Agreement
Memorandum of Understanding — Signed July 2025
Space Industry Association – India (SIA-India)
In July 2025, NESRA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SIA-India, one of India’s not-for-profit space industry associations, supporting cooperation on innovation, policy dialogue, and partnerships across South Asia’s space sector.
Historical Collaboration
In 2019, NESRA collaborated with the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) to co-host the first SpaceGeneration[Nepal] event alongside the National Space Meet of Nepal, creating an early platform for international exchange and youth engagement.
International Engagement
NESRA has presented at two consecutive International Astronautical Congresses — Dubai (2021, with original policy research) and Paris (2022) — and, individually, NESRA’s founder facilitated the NASA Space Apps Challenge in Brescia, Italy in November 2019, a relationship later continued through a 2020 Space4Women webinar. In 2020, NESRA ran an international webinar series in partnership with the Moon Village Association, the Space Generation Advisory Council, ARISS (Amateur Radio on the International Space Station), NREN, and Mars Academy USA, and Nepal participated as one of 13 countries in the Moon Village Association’s Participation of Emerging Space Countries (MVA-PESC) programme. NESRA also organised a virtual tour of the International Space University for Nepalese students, in partnership with ISU.
NESRA continues to develop international collaboration through formal agreements, joint programming, research exchange and sector networks.
